ArtRage for iPhone App Reviews

Really nice art tools but it always freezes and is very slow.

Meh. It has different tools but it needs more paint brushes. For other things like sketching you only need a couple of tools but with painting i feel either a better variety of brushes or options. Like, smooth, streaky, dry, water paint, oil, acrylic. Maybe sponges. The layers need work. To an extent there should be smudging but you want to be able to use different colours. I was trying to paint a beach but the water was all a spectrum so you could barely tell the difference in shades.

Works well wish there was a ruler, straight edge option and the zoom/move does not work very well.

I have just read a little about this and I havent even started playing. Im really excited to use this app and I hope it is wonderful. I think it will be.

With all the features this app has, and the cost of the app, the developers gave the minimum possible resolution for canvas size!! Really! Come on.. Its like a slap for what iOS devices r capable of. Even Brushes app has 2480x2480px resolution.

Its pretty much impossible with anything less than an iPad. Over priced and not for the everyday user. Photoshop-y.

It doesnt work for me. When I draw it doesnt come the right colour.

I love the app, great and easy to use, BUT listen. When I zoom in, it just.. zooms right back out. Its really annoying! Its called art RAGE for a reason. :(

Just downloaded this app, love the realistic paintbrush and smudging option. Please create an iPad version, it would look awesome on the larger screen. :-)

This app is great for making doodles and mock-ups on your phone.

No app comes remotely close to simulating all the painting mediums and materials like this Art Rage. I can almost smell the turpentine, seriously, good job.

Sketching to prep for paint on ArtRage is horrid. Pinch To Zoom is a clumsy experience because while Im trying to zoom IN it usually snaps to zoom OUT, so I have to fumble with it in order to stay zoomed into the canvas. The tools are decent but need work, more tools are needed, more options to better control these tools is needed, & a better user interface in general is needed. Theres no "rage" with this application. The only reason ArtRage gets a second look is because of the simulation of canvas & paint texture, and tools. Ill stick with Sketchbook instead.

Nice approximation of real paint, loaded brushstrokes come out well and it renders texture very well in comparison to other apps. In app playback would be great.

Anyone whos spent time drawing with other apps knows that the feel of a real brush doesnt compare. This is done very well, a must have for artists and doodlers... Better on bigger screens Im sure, but zooming worked very smooth and lots of features make it something ill be playing around with for awhile.

Brushes are awesome. Needs more features.

I wish it was for iPad but as it is, it seems like a good art app. Im glad I got it free though.

When i first saw its UI I thought of lots of fun, its recreation of canvas. And all the adjustments are perfect for writing calligraphy, painting, everything! Peple complain about crashes an other things.. So far nothing! Great app thanks. Airbrush tool is too mainstream anyways

Its awesome I can actually draw like Im drawing on paper the utensils work perfectly
